The longer you work on something, the easier it is to lose clarity, and even easier for the doubts to creep in. Sometimes all you need is a pair of fresh eyes. That's where I come in.
As an emerging writer, I understand the value of thorough, honest and constructive feedback— and I have the experience to provide it. I started my freelance editing career in 2019, and have gone on to work for literary journals such as SeaGlass Literary, The Cloudscent Journal and Jacaranda Journal.

Response time will vary depending on the size of your document. For example, 1-3 pages may have a turnaround of 1-2 days, whereas a collection of 30-60 may take 7-10 business days.

I will edit and provide feedback on your original short fiction, including flash fiction and short stories up to 7.5k words.

FAQ
What genres do you work with?
I have the most experience working with YA, fantasy, general fiction and romance! But I am open to reading any genre, though I may be less familiar with the typical conventions. However, this will not inhibit my proofreading abilities
Will you edit multiple drafts?
Yes, at an additional fee.
Do you format documents for publishing?
No. I can format the body of your work into industry-standard i.e. indented paragraphs, double space, page numbers etc. upon request. But you will not receive a ready-to-submit manuscript.
Do you edit non-fiction?
Yes, with some caveats. I have experience reading and writing creative non-fiction including personal essays, biography and place writing, so I feel confident in my assessment of those. I am open to other forms.
Please note, that I will not fact-check your work or accept student essays.
Can you edit my fan fiction?
Sure, I can. That's where I got my start, after all! But, since I cannot know every piece of media, I will be reading your work as if it is original.
